Workdays at FBC. Spring is almost here and Easter is just around the corner! What better time to do a little spring housecleaning at the church? There will be two work days at the church before Easter - Saturdays, April 1 and 8 at 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon. All church family members are encouraged to help as we tidy up areas both inside and outside the church premises. Coffee and doughnuts will be served. Trustee Update. In an effort to eliminate unused items, free up storage space and generate income for the church, the Trustees have voted to offer several items for sale by auction through Stinson Auctions, Inc. A list of these items is available in the church office for church members to review. Members who wish to purchase any of these items prior to the auctions may do so at fair market value. The deadline for review of these items is April 1, 2006. Group "Q" members would like to thank Irene Hofmann for her leadership of many years. We appreciate the programs, meals, trips, and mission events planned by Irene. She has given us friendship, love and good memories! A "Love gift" is given in her honor with our love and good wishes! The Witness will now be published once a month effective February, 2006. Any urgent news that needs to be published more timely will be posted in the Sunday bulletin and in The Witness Online. This will help save in the cost of postage and will allow more time to collect information to publish. Anyone with an article or information for The Witness is asked to submit it in the church office by the 10th of each month. If you have any questions please call the church office.
Mission Trip. Owen and Betty Knight will be going on a mission trip to
Biloxi, Mississippi on March, 2006 to rebuild homes that were damaged
by last year's hurricanes. Donations to help with the rebuilding
process would be appreciated. All contributions must be received in
the church office by March 1. The Knights will be leaving March 6.
Please keep Betty, Owen, the mission team, and the residents of the area in
your prayers. |
