Family News Archive, 2005

The church recently received a bequest from the estate of Dorothy M. O'Brien for our memorial fund.  Gifts to the memorial fund become part of our investment accounts and provide on-going income for the ministry and mission of First Baptist.  Dot was a faithful member of our church for 78 years and we are deeply grateful that she remembered her church in this way.

If you would like to follow Dorothy's example and remember your church in your will, or make other arrangements to provide a gift that "keeps on giving," please feel free to speak with Pastor Dominy.

A "Love Gift" in memory of Delora May has been received from Frank and Irene Hofmann.

A gift to the church in honor and appreciation of Louis Catucci has been received from Russell Nile.

Meet our Newest Members.  The following youth, all members of our Sunday school and youth group, were baptized and welcomed into church membership on Easter 2005:

Amber Jean McHale is eleven and a half years old.  She enjoys going to her friend's houses, and likes to swim in summer.  Her favorite animals are dogs, and she has two of them - Lucky and Bradly. Lunch is her favorite subject in school.  Due to her dad's military service, Amber and her family have lived in different parts of the country, but we are glad they have returned to New England.

Sean Michael McHale was born in Boston thirteen and a half years ago.  He and his family recently moved to Orange, MA., but they continue to commute here to our church.  Sean is in the 8th grade.  He enjoys playing video games and playing outside when it is warm.  In addition to his sister and parents, he has two dogs and two birds.

Megan Briel Lee was born in Charlotte, North Carolina eleven years ago and was raised in Fort Mill, South Carolina.  She moved to Malden two years ago and is in the 5th grade at the Linden Middle School.  She plays the clarinet and basketball.  Megan has attended three different churches in her lifetime, and she thinks First Baptist, Malden is the best of them all, mostly because of the people.

Clarke Fellowship.  The group will meet on Monday, March 14 in the church parlor and kitchen.  Members are asked to bring their own sandwich, dessert will be provided.  The theme is St. Patrick's Day.
